The Ordinary Annual General Assembly of the Medical Procurement Organization for the fiscal year ending 1403 was convened under the chairmanship of Dr. Pirhossein Kolivand, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General, senior managers and advisors to the President of the Society, managing directors of the organization and its subsidiaries, and core members of the Assembly. During this session, the organization’s performance report for the fiscal year 1403 was presented, and strategic directions for the Medical Procurement Organization and its affiliated companies for the upcoming year were discussed in detail.
Held
on Tuesday, July 31, 1404, the meeting opened with a recitation from the Holy
Qur'an and the reading of the independent auditor's report. Dr. Mohammadreza
Shanehsaz, Managing Director of the Medical Procurement Organization, welcomed
attendees and provided a comparative overview of the budget and annual
performance. He also outlined the key components of the upcoming operational
plan and emphasized the importance of collective engagement among managers,
experts, advisors, and economic members in achieving strategic objectives.
Dr.
Kolivand issued operational directives and called for consistent monitoring and
precise execution of financial and legal mandates. He stressed the need for
periodic reporting on the implementation of corrective measures and meticulous
follow-through. Appreciation was extended to Dr. Askari, the former Managing
Director, the current Managing Director, and the staff of the organization and
its subsidiaries for their dedication, with prayers for continued honor and
well-being.
In
the closing remarks, Mr. Meysam Afshar, Secretary-General of the Iranian Red
Crescent Society, emphasized the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of
decision-making and the necessity of strategic planning for emergency
scenarios. He identified the development of an integrated management dashboard
to monitor organizational performance as a top priority.
Mr.
Afshar also urged affiliated companies to intensify efforts toward producing
high-tech products, leveraging the Society’s international capacities, reducing
patient wait times at pharmacies, executing strategic purchasing policies, and
securing maximum discounts—all critical steps in advancing intelligent and
effective service delivery.
