In response to the directive issued by the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society and in alignment with the Organization’s strategic goals for operational integration and enhanced transparency in the pharmaceutical supply chain, the design and implementation of a comprehensive pharmacy management system has been officially initiated.
According to the Public Relations and
International Affairs Unit of the Medical Procurement Organization, a meeting
was held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, attended by Dr. Shanehsaz, Managing
Director of the Organization, along with senior managers. The session focused
on the technical evaluation of the proposed system for pharmacies under the
Organization’s supervision.
The system is being developed to
establish a unified infrastructure for pharmacy oversight, improve transparency
across the drug supply chain, and optimize strategic procurement processes.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the technical requirements,
pharmaceutical standards, and operational needs essential for successful
implementation. It was agreed that the design and development phases would
proceed in accordance with these specifications.
Following the completion of expert
assessments and the finalization of the technical report, the system will be
rolled out across affiliated pharmacies. Leveraging modern technologies, the
platform will enable centralized inventory management, intelligent order
registration, and precise monitoring of drug supply and distribution processes.
