A joint meeting was held between senior executives of the Medical Procurement Organization and representatives of Behsatan Pakhsh and Roche Pars, focusing on the supply of specialized and single-prescription medicines.
According
to the Public Relations and International Affairs Unit of the Medical
Procurement Organization, the session took place on Sunday, November 1, 2025,
with the presence of the organization's Managing Director, Dr. Mohammadreza
Shanehsaz, alongside senior departmental managers. During the meeting, Dr.
Kamali, Managing Director of Behsatan Pakhsh, and Dr. Sadri, Managing Director
of Roche Pars, accompanied by their respective teams, shared their perspectives
and proposals regarding the supply process and challenges related to the
registration and sustainable importation of these critical medicines.
Discussions
emphasized the role of the Medical Procurement Organization as the national
authority responsible for supplying single-prescription medicines. Topics
included inter-agency collaboration, continued allocation of appropriate
foreign currency for patients with rare conditions, and coordination with the
Food and Drug Administration.
This
meeting was held in line with efforts to enhance medicine supply processes and
support patients with specialized needs, and it was agreed that follow-up
actions would continue at the national level.
