Central 24-Hour Red Crescent Pharmacy: A Reliable Hub for Patient Access to Medicines and Medical Supplies

Central 24-Hour Red Crescent Pharmacy: A Reliable Hub for Patient Access to Medicines and Medical Supplies
The Central 24-Hour Red Crescent Pharmacy, affiliated with the Medical Procurement Organization, operates with the mission of facilitating patient access to medicines and healthcare services at all hours of the day and night.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Unit of the Medical Procurement Organization, the pharmacy, located within Tehran’s traffic control zone- has, following the acquisition of necessary permits from the Food and Drug Administration, undergone renovation and infrastructure upgrades. With the deployment of Social Security and Health Insurance representatives during evening shifts, patient visits have become significantly easier, particularly during low-traffic nighttime hours.

By strengthening its specialized staff, increasing the number of trained personnel, and streamlining service delivery processes, the pharmacy has created a system in which patients can obtain medicines and medical supplies with confidence and peace of mind at any time of day.

Providing a comprehensive pharmaceutical basket, ensuring stable access to essential items, and delivering specialized services to patients with critical conditions—including cancer, multiple sclerosis, and transplant recipients- are among the key strengths of this center.

Today, the Central 24-Hour Red Crescent Pharmacy, alongside Red Crescent Central Pharmacy No. 2 (Tehranpars) and the Single-Prescription and Specialized Red Crescent Pharmacies, has become more than just a pharmacy. It stands as a trusted pillar for patients—a place where professionalism, organizational responsibility, and dedication to alleviating suffering converge to guarantee safe, sustainable, and equitable access to medicines for all segments of society.
