Medical Procurement Organization Strengthens International Partnerships in Medicine and Equipment
On Sunday, November 22, 2025, Dr. Mohammadreza Shanehsaz, Managing Director of the Medical Procurement Organization, held an official meeting with several executives of foreign companies, emphasizing the expansion of joint cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, vaccines, biotechnology, and plasma-derived products.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Unit of the Medical Procurement Organization, Dr. Shanehsaz, while presenting the capabilities and capacities of the Organization and its subsidiaries, underlined the readiness of this group to collaborate in various areas including pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, vaccines, biotechnology, as well as plasma and its derivatives. He also highlighted the capacities of Helal Iran Medical Devices Company, a subsidiary of the Organization, particularly in the field of hemodialysis and the production of disposable medical supplies for African countries. He invited the executives of these companies, considering the international standing and humanitarian nature of the Red Crescent Society, to visit the subsidiaries if needed.

The foreign companies’ executives, while expressing readiness for comprehensive cooperation with the Medical Procurement Organization and its subsidiaries, presented their latest achievements in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. During the meeting, cooperation in the area of intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) was also discussed. The executives emphasized, with reference to their complete product portfolios, the possibility of broadening cooperation with the Medical Procurement Organization and the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to maintain ongoing communications and pursue avenues of joint cooperation.
