Dr. Mohammad Reza Shanesaz, Managing Director of the Medical Procurement Organization, on the sidelines of the 8th Middle East International Pharmex Exhibition, while emphasizing the strategic position of Iran's pharmaceutical market, described the presence of reputable international companies as indicative of the world's accurate understanding of the country's production capacities and the ineffectiveness of media propaganda against Iran's stability.

to the Public Relations and International Unit of the Medical Procurement
Organization, Dr. Mohammad Reza Shanesaz, during his visit to the 8th
International "Middle East Pharmex" Exhibition, held at the Iran Mall
International Exhibition Center, in response to an invitation from the Homa
Internet Television booth, participated in an audio-visual interview and
analyzed the latest state of the country's pharmaceutical industry and the role
of this exhibition in developing international markets.
Dr.
Shanesaz, referring to the quantitative and qualitative growth of this event
compared to previous editions, stated: "The Pharmex Exhibition gains a
more serious and solid position every year. The prominent presence of foreign
companies in this edition, despite all media efforts to instill a sense of
insecurity and instability in Iran, demonstrates that the major players in the
global pharmaceutical industry have well understood the importance of the
Iranian market as one of the largest markets in the West Asian region."
Emphasizing
Iran's potential capacities to become a hub for the supply and production of
pharmaceutical raw materials in the West Asian region, he stated: "The
combination of God-given resources and the benefit of an elite, creative, and
specialized workforce has made Iran a unique destination for domestic and
foreign investment. In few countries in the region does there exist the
scientific potential to support complex and high-tech pharmaceutical industries."
The
Managing Director of the Medical Procurement Organization, in response to a
question about the impact of the presence of foreign companies on reducing the
pressure of sanctions, said: "Cooperation with reliable international
partners has two achievements for us: first, meeting domestic needs, and
second, the transfer of technical knowledge, which accelerates the pace of our
industrial progress. Moreover, the presence of international companies at this
exhibition is a unique opportunity to introduce the real capacities of Iran's
industry. These companies, by directly observing the continuous and creative
activities of Iranian manufacturers, become reliable ambassadors of the
progress of the country's pharmaceutical industry and narrate an accurate image
of our achievements in international forums—an achievement that speaks for
itself despite media efforts to portray a distorted image of our industry."
In
the final part of his remarks, Dr. Shanesaz, reassuring the public about the
status of medicine supply, particularly for special patients, noted:
"Contrary to the claims made, the health and pharmaceutical sector is
precisely the target of smart sanctions, as the enemy has focused on vital and
technological items. However, we have achieved such self-reliance and
capability that there is no needed pharmaceutical product that we cannot bring
to domestic production within two years. Today, no treatment process in the
country is halted due to a shortage of medical equipment."
In
conclusion, he emphasized: "As someone who has had the honor of serving
within the health system for many years, I assure the people that, with trust
in God and reliance on our specialized workforce, we will successfully overcome
these difficult conditions, and no problem will arise in meeting pharmaceutical
needs."
