Abdolkarim Hosseinzadeh, the Vice President for Rural Development and Deprived Areas, made an unannounced visit to the Red Crescent Central Pharmacy on Sunday, 18 October 2026, where he observed firsthand the facility's operations, the manner of service delivery to clients, and its pharmaceutical issues.
According to a report by the Public Relations
and International Affairs Unit of the Medical Procurement Organization, during
this field visit, the Vice President engaged in direct conversations with
clients and patients and inquired about their concerns and issues regarding
access to pharmaceutical services.
During the visit, clients of the pharmacy—who
had traveled to the center from across the country—raised with him the most
significant challenges facing the pharmacy, including outstanding claims from
basic insurance providers and ways to settle them, as well as the necessity of
increasing the quota for special medications.
